News from the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department:
 
BIKE RODEO – June 19, 2024, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Ho-Ho-Kus Public School Outdoor Basketball Court.
 
The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department in partnership with the Bicycle Touring Club of North Jersey, Ridgewood Cycle Shop, and Bike Lady Mobile Repair & Coaching, is hosting a Bike Rodeo for children 1st through 8th Grade. Attendees will receive free bike safety education, helmet fittings, bicycle inspections and a bicycle license. There will be a skills course, contest, games and more!

BLUE ENVELOPE PROGRAM – The Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department has implemented a new program called The Blue Envelope Program to help people with Autism Spectrum Disorder during a traffic stop. The Envelope provides document organization containing a copy of their license, registration, insurance card, emergency contact, and special instructions for the driver and Police Officer.
 
Ho-Ho-Kus residents who would like to participate in the Blue Envelope Program may stop by the Ho-Ho-Kus Police Department at 55 Sycamore Avenue or call 201-652-1700.
 
AUTISM AWARENESS IDENTIFICATION STICKERS – Ho-Ho-Kus residents with autistic children or adults in their homes can obtain a Ho-Ho-Kus Police Autism Awareness patch sticker for their car/home. This identification sticker will alert Ho-Ho-Kus Police Officers and First Responders that an autistic person may be present.
